Overthinker...Underachiever...Ultrageek...Cola addict....and other buzz words. Seeking the question who's answer is 42. All the above was just undiagnosed ADHD.
People say Techbros and Rowling use names that are too on the nose but we forget that one of the most successful story tellers who also happens to be Jewish is literally called Spielberg. That's pretty lazy writing by the universe
@AhmedWetaka@ayeshaijazkhan Aramco employees in the compounds might have certain freedoms but the minute they step out of the compounds the same laws apply to them as to every other resident. The embassy analogy also applies because it's just as complicated for outsiders to come and go there.
@AhmedWetaka@ayeshaijazkhan They might have demonstrated a bit of an exaggeration. I grew up in Dammam/Khobar. My family still lives there. My sister her family currently lives in an Aramco compound. It's more like Aramco gated compounds are equivalent to embassy areas.
@PoltclCassandra I was embarrassingly old when I realized what haraam-zaaday literally meant. My Hyderabadi mom used to use it so ubiquitously in daily life that it's just sounded like another word for dumbass. The amount of syllables can give it the same mileage as mother-fucker 🤷
@lovesickplaid@Cultaholic That's what Jake the Snake Roberts said about the DDT too. he actually liked that people always kick out of it because it makes his look more special.

@Shomicita This might be common knowledge but my realization was that the "Grey's" switched from being for Meredith to standing for Sloan Grey Memorial hospital way back in 2013. It is the inner workings (anatomy) of a hospital now more than just about a batch of interns 😊
@DOGE__news I saw the resident evil film when I was 12. And that shit happened to a lady. I'd rather be slingshot out that elevator with a bungee cord than slowly crawl out through a guillotine 😬
@DarrigoMelanie I guess this is how boomers feel when we called him Count Dooku/ Saruman instead of Dracula. Or how GenX feels when we call him Michael from the good place instead of Sam from Cheers.
@SKRollins@weakinstrument@LukewSavage Even if it was pandering, He made the effort to do so in a way that seems respectful and authentic. Can't remember the last time any other politicians made even that low bar of an effort.
@tazeen I have Indian friends and I would never be offended if anyone thought I was Indian but after Living and travelling abroad for 8 years I've never for a single second felt the need to call myself Indian instead of Pakistani. That is giving racists way too much credit.
@jason_paladino Whether it was intentional or not, I could hear John Oliver's voice more in the last two lines of your tweet than anywhere in that entire video
@Imani_Barbarin Maybe I'm being naive but wouldn't this take power away from the s symbol. Wouldn't the guys thinking of themselves as badasses be annoyed they're wearing tattoos of a girly popstar. You mentioned the dilution of aave words but in that example isn't that harmful to aave.
