DG MP-IDSA @SujanChinoy inaugurated the First Round Table (RT-1) on “Propulsion Systems: Atmanirbharta and Co-development” as part of third Delhi Defence Dialogue 2026 ( #DDD2026 ) preparations. The first session deliberated on the “Indigenous development of land, air, space and naval Propulsion Systems”. The Stakeholders from MoD, @DRDO_India , DPSUs, industry, academia, start ups, MSMEs etc. participated in the deliberations.

India needs to shift its internal debate from DPSU vs Private Sector...or the primacy of Govt Lab vs Deeptech Startup innovation.

The real question is how can we match or outmatch our adversary...also we need to stop obsessing with a bankrupt neighbor and start focusing on building credible deterrence against the superpower adversary if we really want to become Vishwa Guru.

Iran war clearly proves that our actions or inactions both have serious economic and geopolitical consequences which can alter our long term growth trajectory.

Our strategic holes need to be filled ASAP avoiding dillydallying at various levels. Cannot afford to drain precious time and limited energy due to internal dissonance and lack of meaningful coordination
