Coding is easy. Debugging is hard. I wish LLMs stopped writing my code and instead started fixing it.

Every time I hear about "vibe coding" and the fact that engineers should "only" debug, but not write code anymore, I realize that no one knows what they are talking about.

Something about the recent H-1B debate, that none of the big media outlets mention, is just how incredibly hard it is to get the H-1B visa, for reasons that neither the employer nor the petitioner can affect.

Opinion 4: Immigration keeps costs and wages down

This results from the demand-offer equation. The more offer there is, the lower the price.

Bad: US Tech workers get paid less (but still a lot)
Good: US can tax that income (unlike outsourced labor)
Good: Cost of goods stays low
