Now that the furloughing scheme has been extended until October, can theatres please start devising a strategy to reinvest part of the money saved on salaries into a wide ranging consultation with freelance artists and technicians about ways of not making them go bankrupt?

@george_spender A dance piece I saw at @unitytheatre in Liverpool called At Swim Two Birds 2015(?), a staging of The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui at The Playhouse in Liverpool in 2014 and Crocodile Fever at @traversetheatre Edi19. All for hugely dif reasons but loved and admired all the same.
