The @Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto:
9/12/25 at SF: retires final 20 batters
WS Gm 2 at Tor: retires final 20 batters
Tonight vs. LAA: retires final 22 batters
Only one other MLB pitcher in last 50 years has retired his final 20 batters 3 separate times (reg or post): Greg Maddux.
Dave Roberts on Roki Sasaki
"He has wrestled down both his inner conflicts and anxieties through his own efforts. Roki now possesses the strength of a man built up over time."
"The stability he's shown in his last 6-7 starts is at the pinnacle of the majors. His baseline has risen. It's just a matter of how far he can shatter his limits."
@MasonAsche45280@GrishamsStache@TalkinBaseball_ there is no eligibility requirement for mvp voting it’ll just be extremely unlikely he wins it bc he won’t have the games to put up the numbers
@jjust_boredd its really hard for ppl to fathom what he does but the level to which he simultaneously does two things that are so historically hard to do in sports automatically makes him one of the greatest athletes we’ve ever seen and i think that’ll set further into public option over time
Shohei Ohtani has reached base 4 times in 4 plate appearances tonight.
He has allowed one baserunner in 5 innings on the mound.
Ohtani is hitting .300 with a .940 OPS.
He is yielding a 0.75 ERA.
Might as well start engraving that MVP trophy now.
Dodgers 5, Diamondbacks 0 (6)
• Dodgers haven’t won shit since ‘88!
• You can’t buy chemistry!
• You should cheat better next time!
• Win a real ring in a real season!
• You bought that ring!
• You’re cheating the system, we don’t respect that ring!
- evolution of a miserable MLB fan lol
@piggylul_ if people are calling something a bad mix it’s usually like muddy sounding or super drowned out or having a lot of sounds clashing but a lot of music does that and sounds great and like conveys the desired effect so at the end of the day that’s all that matters
@piggylul_ bad mixing is subjective a lot of the time and sometimes just a style/artistic choice but a “good mix” usually just allows all the components to be heard simultaneously and clearly with a crisp sound. sometimes ppl might also be talking ab cool mixing decisions like panning, etc.
