@A_GymGuy I hate to say it, but number 20 may have been a pyrrhic victory considering what has come after & the long term damage a prolonged reign under Slot will cause.
From next week, your $1,600 iPhone will cost $2,150.
But don't worry. In just 4 years, after Apple spends a few hundred Billion $ building new factories in the United States, shifts all supply chains, hires and trains factory workers, you will be able to buy that iPhone for just $5,000.
It will bring new jobs to America which is going to boost the economy!
It just means you will have $3,400 less to spend at your local restaurant, your local cinema, and that trip to California you've been planning with your family.
And it'll mean all of those other US businesses will suffer.
But it's ok. When those businesses go bust, the employees can go and work in a brand new t-shirt factory for $2 an hour because those t-shirts will no longer be made in Vietnam.
There is a reason wealthy nations outsource low skill work while migrating the economy to higher skill jobs.
That reason is not "pillaging and r*ping" by other countries. It's basic common sense.
It's the same reason rich people don't clean their own houses or wash their own cars.
It's because their time is better spent doing more productive things that make more money so that these things can be outsourced.
Obama just said what everyone’s thinking but too many are afraid to admit: If he had done even a fraction of what Trump’s doing—blacklisting press, punishing dissent, targeting student protestors—the outrage would’ve been deafening.
But now? Silence. Because when the Constitution gets torched by someone in your tribe, suddenly principles are optional.
This isn’t about policy anymore—it’s about power unchecked and hypocrisy on full display.
Populist nonsense, we already tax vehicles based on emissions and tax the fuel, we even fire on VRT that TAXES the Co2!
I mean, someone needs to explain the car industry to the Green agenda.

Gardaì, like all ‘resources’, are finite.
There are only so many of them to go around. Always. Irrefutable fact.
I wonder if some of the angry shouty people who are angry and shouty about crime in inner city Dublin realise THEY occupy Garda time with their angry shoutiness?
@Independent_ie It could rise to 2,400 a year???That's only 46 quid a week!! Who is paying less than that at the moment? Do all Irish Independent journalists, financial analysts and editors work from home?
This was a shocking day for rural Ireland : I have never seen so much anger and still cannot believe even the ATMs are being plugged out in towns with no other public cash dispensers on the streets. We need to work with local communities to help them empower themselves again
@NotoriousJOS Neville also conveniently leaves out the fact that Messi has 89 more assists than Ronaldo over the course of his career, backing up the theory that he is a much better all round team player.
