We welcome today's @aidtransparency report and the fact many departments are becoming more transparent about their aid spend. But ICAI has long called for greater transparency around the Home Office's use of aid for domestic refugee costs and will continue to monitor this closely
Today's report from @aidtransparency finds that the Home Office has become less transparent about its aid spending – despite spending £2.3bn of the UK’s aid budget in 2024.

📢UK aid transparency is improving, with 1 exception.
🔎Our new report finds most UK gov depts now publish more data on their aid spending, but transparency dipped sharply between 2020-25. The Home Office, despite £2.3bn in ODA, is opaque about its aid.
