Whoever will make a creative QR code generator first will have a viral product. It's a low-hanging fruit of AI.
How it's done: they trained several custom Stable Diffusion ControlNet models (+ LoRA fine tunings) that helped create different-styled results. Next, they fed existing QR codes into the Stable Diffusion AI image generator and used ControlNet to maintain the QR code's data positioning despite synthesizing an image around it, likely using a written prompt.
Rumors: a creator of these QR codes was ready to upload the model on HuggingFace (even created a page for it) when someone offered to buy it. So they didn't upload it and stopped commenting on their process. It happened a week ago/
QR codes are made using ControlNet + Stable Diffusion and a specially trained model on QR codes (it was a ControlNet model that was about to be uploaded and then according to rumors purchased).
At the moment people try to replicate results but don't come anywhere near (the best current model to use is "brightness" ControlNet but the results are not as good).
A person who generated those: Reddit user named "nhciao"

Great breakdown of how AI is used to create character sheets followed by full character models. Now imagine doing this even faster with integrated toolsets and community ownership of the art. That's what we are working on
