We need innovation to find better tests.
This isn’t shutting the door on prostate cancer screening programmes. This is simply saying that our current means of testing, if done by a screening programme, would cause more harm.
This is also not saying if you have symptoms there are no tests.
If you are worried about your prostate come to your doctor and have a fully informed conversation. You may need to be tested!
Ppl dunking on me for the umbrella.

Once you become an air conditioning society, you don’t go back. You stop rolling down car windows. Houses become sealed boxes. People move from cooled home to cooled car to cooled office to cooled store. Society goes indoors. Outdoor life becomes diminished.
It changes more than temperature.
The gap between endurance athletes and public health recommendations is one of truth...
We need to start treating adults like adults and giving them an honest appraisal of the sort of fitness 150min/wk leads to.... i.e. very very poor fitness.
If you want the truth, look to the folks from your local 10K or half-marathon training 2.5 hrs/wk...
Oh, that's right, there aren't any.
Even the overweight, out-of-shape, folks who are walking by mile 3 are *still* putting in more than 2.5 hours of training per week. And they're in horrible shape.
The lean, fit folks at the front of the event with the health and fitness that you seek... a lot more.
It's time to get real. It's time to get truthful. It's time to stop the coddling...
"I know you're too busy to actually exercise the amount you need to, so just try this amount instead."
We're grown-ups. We can accept the truth.
The Prime Minister says his government has got "the big political decisions right". Let's go through them.
The government chose to cut welfare so it could spend even more on weapons and war.
The government chose to demonise the sick and disabled.
The government chose to keep children in poverty until it was dragged kicking and screaming to finally scrap the two-child benefit cap.
The government chose not to bring water into public ownership, not to tax wealth and not to implement rent controls.
The government chose to arm Israel and participate in genocide.
The government chose to let the US use British air bases for its war crimes in Iran.
The government chose to let Palantir get its hands on our NHS.
The government chose to scapegoat migrants and refugees for its own failures.
Poverty, inequality and genocide. Those are the government's big decisions. And that is how this government will be remembered.
"Almost 500 instances this year when patients are being blue-lighted back into NHS hospitals for emergency care"
"Private hospitals don’t train doctors, they have no emergency care and they choose the easiest cases. This disastrous cocktail makes them a burden on our NHS, which is forced to clean up after them"
I'm sorry but I'm not buying the line "MPs have a tough job and work long hours so need to drink"
The people they represent often work longer hours in tougher jobs & would be sacked for doing the same
Want a drink? Fine, have one after you've done your job & pay for it yourself
How the world works in a nutshell: giant corporations profit from an illegal war whilst the governments who wage them tell the rest of us to tighten our belts.
HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE 🫨
Sabastian Sawe becomes the first person ever to break the 2-hour barrier in official race conditions, storming to a historic 1:59:30‼️
@KejelchaYomif, on his marathon debut, also breaks 2 hours with a stunning 1:59:41 and @jacobkiplimo2 clocks 2:00:28, also faster than the previous world record 😤
Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial. Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later.

@DHSCgovuk@wesstreeting Oncology doctor here: can’t relate.. our cancer day unit capacity and staffing was cut down, it’s constantly over filled, unwell cancer patients come through a busy ED to a painstakingly long wait, chemo unit is overbooked to a typical waiting time of at least a few weeks!
I constantly look up drug doses, guidelines, referral pathways etc
A Doctor’s google search, is different from a random search on a topic from someone who doesn’t know what they’re looking for.
If you have Doctors that never look stuff up - that’s a bigger concern!
What’s mdp celebrating anyway? It’s not an MDP’s win. The absolute, well deserved, well earned hatred for the other party won.
Go home and scheme ways to misuse power and pillage public resources when you guys are voted in as the lesser evil come next election.
