@Catheri90859348 @GaabLab We are in WA state. A purveyor of BL training from BC worked here for 7 years. Our state dept of ed just ended that relationship. It was schizophrenic. They’d provided BL training for yrs here, “learned” the SOR aka like Calkins. But continued BL PD, products in BC,
@janhasbrouck Frustrated that Calkins was able to negotiate to retain control of TCRWP materials and PD. All developed while on faculty? With what grants or funds? So wish Columbia/TC had had the ability retain control. They’ve merely divested themselves of the “problem” and provided autonomy.
Language is the anchor of reading comprehension. What we are comprehending IS language. Developing accurate and automatic decoding is the KEY to unlocking complex, knowledge/empathy-building texts with advanced language & syntax. I developed this infographic to demonstrate this.
@jwdanner @DrMariaMurray1 Confused why this product is called Project Read when there is already a well known OG literacy intervention by the same name. More complicated - it was recently sold and being revamped so this muddies understanding status of Project Read (original) and your product.
