When the top echelon of @FTC is trucked in to speak at a "private" #antitrust conference in DC that the press is locked out of, what should a reporter do?
Public interest? What's that?

Founded in a sheet-metal warehouse, Voices of Our City has grown into one of America’s most beloved choirs—its members living proof that joy survives hardship. https://t.co/TID0GdAFjp
I wonder if these people understand that if they successfully suppress the moderate wing of socialism, what they’ll get instead are a bunch of Jim Jones-style terror cults that ritually sacrifice elderly Americans in order to expropriate their suburban ranch houses
When former Green Bay Packers star Antonio Freeman was asked to name the family’s best athlete, the pass-catching great said there’s no doubt: That title belongs to his son. https://t.co/0MbMt0R1aE
@BerniceKing Totally unrelated but every single time her photo pops up on the timeline I am struck anew by how beautiful she was. Just staggering. She was so much more than that but it just gets me every time.
The reason why Watergate would be a 12 hour news story today is that Trump is so corrupt that Nixon seems almost quaint by comparison. Heck, the Guilded Age guys are kicking themselves for being born in the wrong century. There's much more dirty money to be made now.
Unearthed audio: RFK Jr. pushes a third-party candidate to drop out in exchange for a taxpayer-funded position in the federal government:

Independent analyses estimate that your actions to dismantle USAID and drastically reduce lifesaving foreign aid have already killed 700,000 people. Here are some of those people. 🧵https://t.co/aKdQpk9QTW
You are 100% right Senator Tillis. So why did you vote to confirm Hegseth? And Bondi. And Gabbard. And RFK. And Noem.
And why did you vote to acquit on J6?
You own 100% of this Trump disaster, and if you had a change of heart then repent and publicly denounce Trump and MAGA.
Bill Pulte is 38. Stephen Miller is 40. Pete Hegseth, Markwayne Mullin, and Kash Patel are all 46. Russell Vought is 50. Todd Blanche is 51.
Trump is 80, more erratic than ever, and appears to be accelerating rather than moderating. The henchmen are young, disciplined, and in no hurry to leave.
When Republicans questioned whether Pulte was qualified to run the intelligence community, Trump said the acting designation was temporary and not permanent. Two days later he told the Wall Street Journal the acting status would leave Pulte "less shackled" than a Senate-confirmed director. Then he blew up Clayton's confirmation hearing hours before it was scheduled to begin - specifically to keep Pulte in place.
Pulte began firing people at ODNI on day one. Tulsi Gabbard had already built the predicate for using intelligence infrastructure in domestic elections under foreign interference framing. Pulte is continuing that work with more energy and less institutional resistance than she faced. Kristol's framing is precise: the old man sets the direction, the young men execute it with patience and competence the old man no longer has. That combination is the threat.
Immigration lawyers said in court filings that four Haitian women deported from the U.S. in February were later found beheaded and dumped in a river, The Associated Press reported.
