@ModestTeacher I haven’t done them in years! It felt forced and awkward. I get the purpose behind them, but I imagine I’m one of the few so I think my kids like a break?
@heymrsbond We give days of the week a theme. Monday- soup/stew/sandwiches. Tuesday- tacos! Wednesday- chicken. Thursday- pasta. Friday- pizza. We have agency to change our minds to go with a craving, but we have a solid framework each week.
@GiftedTawk We don’t have textbooks, but I’m pushing for allowing my kids to have something like an index card /cheat sheet. I want to assess application and deep thinking, not memorization.
And if you’re going to want the best version of me to empower our students and staff, you’re going to be seeing me in jeans a little more than you’d like. Sorry, not sorry. https://t.co/x7fek0w2ir via @MikeREarnshaw
@optotoxical I need to implement better, but it already feels promising. Also it’s the end of the year and the kids are extra restless. I’m optimistic for the start of next school year, that’s for sure!
