An absurd question, but if the candidate’s answer isn’t a negative number then PASS.

The year is 2020 and job application form for a Lead Software Engineer has the question:

"Lifetime Total Lines of Code"

I've worked in software development for over 20 years, and most of my career has been in management. I want to share something about the reality of working as a Black man fulfilling leadership roles in tech.

@Carnage4Life @kstewart As a black person in tech I agree that it is absolutely not my responsibility to be the D&I czar/champ/goto. [JohnL @airfoil]

@phontigallo No.

I would love to see a NBA tournament.. ALL TEAMS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS this year single game elimination until the final four. Could be done in 3 weeks of quarantine in Vegas.. drastic times / drastic measures .. !

@djbigdaddy I had a TRS-80 Color Computer 2 when I was about 9 or 10. The great thing about it was that it came with a manual that went over the fundamentals of BASIC and had great code examples. Nothing today matches time-to-first-program like the “ecosystems” of those days.

[Phil Libin @plibin]

I was just on a Zoom call that ended automagically after 40 minutes because the organizer was on a free tier. This is the single greatest advance to meeting productivity that I’ve ever seen. Would pay extra for this feature.
