Since we got back from the field we've been busy exploring our amazing gas dataset from #VolcanVillarrica. Today we are plotting SO2 plume maps from the Aeris gas sensor, a prototype from @airgraph_devs, such a versatile and easy-to-use instrument!
We've had a blast working with Beki and Roeland from @Pioneer_Prod. Watch out for a documentary on the Smithsonian Channel featuring exciting research from different groups at ten volcanoes around the world as part of the Global Volcanism Program @EarthSciCam@BristolUni
Successful UAV-based multiGAS measurements of CO2, SO2 and H2S at #VolcanVillarrica yesterday! With a real-time data stream to the ground, this is a big step in a very exciting direction for volcanic gas sensing! @DrKieranWood@marieedmonds@sandro_aiuppa @emilymmason @deepcarb
USGS-CVO Research Geologist Peter Kelly takes you into the crater of Mount St. Helens to talk about the “SNIF” volcanic gas monitoring station, in this new 7-minute video. https://t.co/Byl32PKYS9
MultiGAS flies high in the plume of Pacaya volcano! Volcanology meets aerospace engineering to advance techniques for volcanic gas sensing. So proud of our team! @EarthSciCam @UoB_Engineering @deepcarb@DrKieranWood
