That is why this question matters:

Is there truly no one at Google or Alphabet willing to take a meaningful step for the people of Iran?

Iran has now been under a severe internet blackout for over 67 days. For millions of ordinary Iranians, access to global digital tools is not a convenience — it is a lifeline. It is how people communicate, study, work, document abuses, keep small businesses alive, and stay connected to the outside world.

In moments like this, tools provided by companies like Google are not just products. They can become some of the last remaining ways for people to resist digital isolation, bypass censorship, and escape the control of an authoritarian system.

So when Google restricts services such as Google Apps Script, developer tools, cloud-based workflows, or other essential services for Iranian users beyond what is legally required, it does not hurt the Iranian government.

It hurts ordinary people!

It blocks students, developers, journalists, small businesses, civil society groups, and families from accessing tools they desperately need.

The U.S. Treasury’s OFAC issued Iran General License D-2 to support internet freedom in Iran and authorize the provision of many internet-based communications services, software, applications, and related tools to ordinary Iranians.

So when access is still blocked beyond what the law requires, that is not simply “because of sanctions.”

It is a corporate policy choice.

If Google and Alphabet truly stand for internet freedom, open access to information, and support for people living under repression, then this is the moment to prove it.

Please review Google’s over-compliance policies.
Remove unnecessary restrictions on Iranian users.
Make essential Google tools accessible to the people of Iran.

The people of Iran do not need more symbolic support.
They need access.
They need Life!

It has been technically confirmed that AS12880 is performing BGP Anycast Hijacking and Transparent Interception on traffic destined for global networks (specifically Cloudflare AS13335 and GitHub AS36459). This intercepted traffic is being routed through a non-standard middlebox (IP range 2.188.0.0/16) within their network.

As the upstream provider (AS29049), this activity is being carried out through your infrastructure. This "Route Leak" and "Prefix Hijacking" not only violates international routing norms but also compromises the privacy and security of millions of users who are concerned about Man-in-the-Middle (MITM) attacks.

As a member of the global internet community, we expect Delta Telecom to:
1. Verify the route advertisements from AS12880.
2. Ensure that your customer is not leaking/hijacking global Anycast prefixes.
3. Enforce RPKI or strict prefix filtering on your peering sessions with AS12880 to prevent such unauthorized interceptions.

We hope Delta Telecom maintains its commitment to a secure and stable internet.
