Sydney ➡️ London. Non-stop. A world first. We are proud to be at the heart of aviation history with @Qantas ✈️
Launching in 2027, @HeathrowAirport will be the destination of Project Sunrise – the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight, connecting Sydney and London in 22 hours. The new non-stop flight would cut up to four hours off the travel time compared to current one-stop services!
Operated by the specially configured Airbus A350-1000ULR, this ground-breaking service will mark the first direct link between Eastern #Australia and the UK, redefining what’s possible in ultra-long-haul travel.
This milestone reinforces Heathrow’s role as a global gateway for innovation, connectivity and world-first routes.

#throwbackthursday a trip down memory lane with a compilation of activity as seen from the #LHR apron over the years. One for the #avgeeks for sure. Still crazy to think about the access we had back in the day…https://t.co/A5Cqri8feo #Heathrow#travel#aviation#avgeek
On board the 1948 #GWR -#Paddington-#Reading service and the train has slowed due to trespassers on the line. Police helicopter in attendance too. Shout out to Mikey the train manager who has kept all of us informed and with good humour too. #travel@GWRHelp
Thank you to the Navnat Centre for inviting us to lunch with the local #Jain community in #Hayes!

@jfwduffield I visited the IWM years ago and it was absolutely brilliant. Since the revamp it is dark, unappealing and minimal exhibits. RAF Museum is still very good but the National Army Museum is also one that was once bright and airy and now less so IMO. ^Simon
