9 years ago, I came to DC less than a week after going into remission from stage IV cancer. I remember hoping I’d live long enough to make a difference.
This week, I came back to advocate for cancer research & survivorship care.

Dr Wendy Brewster has passed away from pancreatic cancer. I’m so shocked and sad. She was a great comfort when I was helping my mom manage the devastation of her cervical cancer diagnosis. Smart, funny, elegant and highly respected, she will be deeply missed. @unc@UNC_Lineberger
