@MikeWingerii This is a laughably facile take, Mike.
Admitting you don't take the time to investigate things yourself, then pouring scorn on anyone who DOES (as being somehow sinful) is ludicrous, not to mention a clear example of bearing false witness against a brother.
@PastorMark Nope.
This is gross innuendo, slander, concern trolling, misdiagnosis and derision -- where you clearly know almost nothing about the situation (nor anything about Candace, her husband nor her priest).
The inorganic, coordinated smear campaign is a massive failure: give up.
@alisa_childers Is it possible that your friendship with Frank Turek is clouding your judgement here, Alisa? You are usually so careful in your analysis, and so diplomatic in your tone, yet on Candace you’ve seemed to reflexively judge that she is to be dismissed as grifting for clicks, or worse
@andrewlawrence@Walkabout24 “Tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions.”
“Modern toleration is really a tyranny. It is a tyranny because it is a silence.”
“Impartiality is a pompous name for indifference, which is an elegant name for ignorance. .”
— GK Chesterton
@MikeWingerii@sonofmccheese He must live on the same planet that I do, as I was about to write the same thing. I genuinely love your BibleThinker ministry but I grimace every time you wade in to tone police or counter signal people like @rightresponsem Again, please recognise he is your courageous brother.
@ConceptualJames • “there are no receipts”
• “OK, but the receipts are fake”
• “OK, but the receipts were stolen”
• “OK, but posting receipts is a new low”
• “OK, but posting receipts is grifting”
• “OK, but the now 100% real, confirmed receipts don’t mean THAT!”
• “EVIL, LYING SNAKE!”
🤡
@MikeWingerii@rightresponsem Mike, I really appreciate your ministry - it's helpful - but you are wrong about Joel and RRM. He is bold and faithful amidst fierce criticism from without and within the wider Church. Please listen fairly, charitably to what he is saying, and try talking with him as brothers.
@PariahCulture @treblewoe My understanding: posting direct quotations from Scripture but attributing them to Luther, which results in non-Protestant respondents rejecting the words because they're apparently Luther's commentary (and therefore false), then revealing that the words are from the Bible.
@DefiantBaptist@douglaswils "So the Christian church really is a cabal run by Jews, and I for one am entirely onboard with it". (!?!?)
I've enthusiastically shared B&M posts with friends over the years (his "Scorn Proof" is a good example) but have been astounded by his recent, rapid descent (unmasking?)
@bendellwerry ...and the corollary of films like Pleasantville, Footloose, Happy Feet, etc, depicting the 'hero' as subverting the stifling, limiting, oppressive, normative constraints (often the ethics, morality and self-discipline) of their bigoted small town/society.
