The genocide in Gaza needs to end.
We're so tired of the back and forth, the pointing of fingers, the hatred being pushed.
We get it, for most people the internet dehumanizes the event, you're removed from the smells of death, the trauma of witnessing bodies torn limb from limb, the cries of the children, the mothers, the fathers, the sons, the daughters.
On and on the insanity continues, and many have forgotten that many people are still dying daily.
Leaders of the world don't care, and for the most part - either do the people sitting on their comfy couches who are not affected by this human tragedy.
Yet, we are all affected. When we turn a blind eye to war and death, we as a people - as a species are saying it's okay. We're giving the insane leaders of this planet a green light to murder more innocent people through even more war.
It's time for humanity to stand together against war, against genocide, and against insane leaders.

This week, in the Dáil, at annual 'Statements on Science Week' I raised the case of pay parity for #MedicalScientists.
18 months on from strike action, 10 months after the Devine Report, there's no excuse for delay.

MLSA industrial action suspended tomorrow with exploratory talks taking place in the Labour Court. Best of luck @MedLabAssoc@kevoboyle you have all 2,100 members behind you. Let’s hope these talks are meaningful and we can get back to providing the best service for our patients.
Sinn Féin's @PearseDoherty raises the issue of the medical scientist strike. He said, "medical scientists are paid 8% less than other colleagues that perform identical work in hospital labs." | More: https://t.co/QG4Vf5FTZH
Medical laboratory scientists throughout the country are striking tomorrow. The impact of the work they do may not be realised until it is not available. The work of MedLab scientists is crucial to diagnostics and blood transfusion and therefore necessary for the running of (1/n)
The Irish Association of Emergency Medicine has issued a statement on members of the Medical Laboratory
Scientists Association withdrawing services for a 12-hour period on 18 May and then for 12 hours on two and three successive days respectively in the following 2 weeks. (1/5)
Our non-consultant doctors are about to strike.
Our laboratory teams are about to strike.
Our GPs & nurses are quitting or emigrating in droves.
Over 700 vacant consultant posts.
I'm starting to get a feeling that healthcare staff in Ireland may not be treated particularly well.
Solidarity with #MedicalScientists as they prepare for industrial action next Weds. Tánaiste says WRC and Labour Court stand at the ready...but what about DoH, DPER, HSE? There's a win-win here if they're willing to grasp it.
