Just to put the huge economic success of devolution to Greater Manchester in context vs. the decay of the Glasgow economy under failed devolution North of the border I decided to put both of their GDP/capita as % of the UK numbers on a graph and then leave it unlabelled.
Regardless of result, the scheduling of post-split fixtures against standard precedent has robbed 20k Hearts fans of a potentially generational collective experience of being together at our home come win, lose or draw. A complete anti-climax to an incredible season.
🇮🇪 🏴🏴I have sent my warm congratulations to the leaders of Plaid Cymru and the SNP on their momentous electoral successes today.
It is a landmark day for a future beyond the Union. Here in Ireland that future means ending partition and the reunification of our country.
I look forward to working with both Rhun ap Iorwerth and John Swinney in the spirit of friendship, solidarity and real progress for the people of our nations.
Comhghairdeas mór!

For the first time ever, there could be three pro-independence First Ministers across these islands.
More and more people are looking towards a future beyond the constraints of the Union.

A better starting point for any discussion the leader of the council seeks to convene this week might be what is preventing these actions from having come to fruition and how might the council, and a coalition of the willing, start to enable delivery.
Three Category A-listed Glasgow buildings.
Would we be hearing the same calls for “faithful reinstatement” if, god forbid, these were to suffer catastrophic damage?
Every day that Glasgow Central is closed hurts Glasgow’s economy.
Harming the future of businesses in the city centre would appear to be a price many are willing to pay to save some fire damaged rubble.
In challenging economic times we need to get Glasgow moving again.
