Tip from a licensed therapist: on your partner’s birthday, be very intentional about celebrating them outside of their role in relation to you! Now is a time to highlight all the things that make them them & not what they do for you as a partner. Save that for anniversaries
it is draining to engage with people who think I’m arguing or personally attacking them every time I try to solve an issue or express my emotions. it creates mental exhaustion. if someone can’t tolerate you asking clarifying questions and sharing how you feel, keep your distance.
