The scammers are getting better and more sophisticated and experienced people are getting hit.

His mistake was connecting his hardware wallet to the new MetaMask by typing the seedphrase. If he had used "connect to hardware wallet" then the scammer wouldn't have been able to approve his transactions on his behalf.

Very sad to read about the @NFT_GOD hack.
My sense is he bought a new computer, mistakenly installed malware on that computer, moved his NFT wallet to the new computer's Metamask while the scammers had control of his computer. They were able to approve out his NFTs/crypto
