Happy Black History Month! For 100 years, each February we’ve celebrated the Black folks who've shaped our nation and fought for our freedoms. As we reflect on how far we've come, we can't lose sight of the work that remains. The dreams of our ancestors depend on all of us carrying on their work and refusing to be deterred. That's what Black history is all about: the enduring hope, joy, resilience and resistance—truths that resonate as powerfully today as ever before.
ICE is indefensible. The racist criminal in the White House is indefensible. And anyone still supporting this cruelty should take a long, hard look at themselves. I’m beyond disgusted.
Madison Keys was asked how she’s feeling 1 year into the 2nd Trump Administration, ‘I think the beauty of the U.S. is that we are a mixing pot... We are a home of immigrants. I hope that we can get back to those values’
“A year into the 2nd Trump Administration, tensions in the U.S. are pretty ridiculously high. I’m just wondering how do you feel personally about what the Trump administration has been doing?”
Madison: “I think my stance has been pretty obvious. I think it’s pretty obvious where I stand. I am hopeful that we as a country can come together and get back to the values that I think make our country great. I am not a fan of divisiveness. I think the beauty of the U.S. is that we are a mixing pot. We are very diverse. We are a home of immigrants. And I hope that we can get back to those values.”
