@BillyKaplanUpd He was on a TV screen, close up on his face. Just a regular shirt or sweatshirt but IIRC there was like a greenish tint to the footage which feels like a little nod/(t)wink.
@Blog_Mickey@condobleefe It’s not about the lack of characters, it’s about the overuse of screens. A live stage show could incorporate cool digital elements, for sure, but that only takes away from the “live” storytelling. Disney should just say it wants to save money by employing less people.
And while we’re at it, give us the option to pause and make everyone wait for us to use the bathroom, and fast forward through all The Rock’s parts in Moana 2!
The Rock says people should be able to sing in movie theaters
“You’ve paid your hard earned money for a ticket, and you've gone into a musical, and you’re into it. Sing”

@PeterSciretta it’s an aesthetic choice that was picked up from tiktok preceded by people holding their wired headphones mic. they probably think it makes them seem less professional/polished, thus more approachable. i’m sure even they know it’s not the best way to use the mic. (i hate it too)
