Flight 6 Super Heavy booster moved to the Starbase pad for testing. The move comes just one week after returning the first booster caught following launch

Political violence is terrifying. I know.
I’m holding former President Trump, and all those affected by today’s indefensible act of violence in my heart. Political violence is un-American and is never acceptable—never.
I support refunds, but this is a problem
According to airline data, something like 50% of all delay minutes & 75% of cancelations are caused by the FAA / ATC. The new rule has no carve out for cause that I can see, even for weather – so airlines are on the hook for things outside their control
It’s similar to the European model, which has been a big problem for airlines there & which politicians have quietly acknowledged is unbalanced
My prediction is that ticket prices will rise; we’ll just remove the option for a non-refundable ticket & sell you the refundable one, which costs more. Doing a quick search of one-way fares, American & Delta currently charge ≈ $50 extra for refundable, United ≈ $40. In some ways, this may actually generate more profit for the airlines…it’s not like you’re going to give up on traveling if your flight is 3 hours late, so you won’t demand the refund…but we sold you the refundable ticket, just in case you did
The rule also conflicts with other nation’s rules, which several foreign carriers brought up. Air Canada wasn’t happy…and the final rule doesn’t offer any clarification on how this will be handled, so that’s a new mess
As I said, I support refunds when it’s the airline’s fault, but most of our issues come from FAA imposed ground stops or delays which cascade through the day. You’ll hear the FAA say that isn’t true, but they’re lying – they rewrote the rules in 2002 so that airlines can’t blame the FAA for any kind of cascading delays / cancelations (see next post for an explanation of how that system works)
In any event, this isn’t the rule I wanted to see, it leaves the FAA unaccountable (maybe they should refund airlines if they cause the delay?) & it will likely just cost you more
@Timcast I don't think he's actually out of touch. I think he's unwilling to accept reality and is willing to pander to the small portion of his audience that blindly listens to him
@portilloshotdog I’m sorry but so many businesses have done so well with this Pandemic. But Portillo’s Willowbrook failed big time. Not only did the manager blame us for their own mistake, but it took the team 20 minutes to confirm the name. In the mean time, the food was cold.
