A monochrome view of the Victorian Neo-Gothic building of the John Rylands Library. Located on Deansgate in Manchester it was founded by Enriqueta Augustina Rylands in memory of her husband. It opened in 1900 and is now part of the University of Manchester.
"Deansgate Framed" - The Sun broke through for a moment to cast a shadow of the bridge linking the Deansgate tram and train stations. The support provides a frame for the high rise developments beyond.

Looking up into the dome of the reading room of the British Museum in London. Completed in 1857 it has a cast iron framework with the ceiling made of papier-mâché, suspended from the frame.

Today is the anniversary of the auroral storm on 10/5/24. I took this image capturing a plane and the silhouette of the contrail against the background auroral illumination. There would have been good views out of the windows that night!
