🤔 Is this a coincidence, or does Matty Cash enjoy a little break over the festive period...

Cash plays Man United at home today in Villa's final game before Christmas, where a booking would see him pick up a suspension for their next game.

They may not be playing on Boxing Day, but do play Chelsea away on the 27th. A booking here would see Cash miss that and bag himself a nine-day break until their next game away at Arsenal on the 30th.

He has previous in this department too, finding himself suspended around the Xmas period in each of the last two seasons.

Conspiracy theories aside, I think he's a good bet for a card today regardless.

He's Villa's most booked player this season, and has committed the 2nd most fouls in the squad, averaging 1.27 P/90.

He's committed at least one foul in each of his last nine games in all comps, with his league numbers across the last five reading: 3, 3, 1, 1, 2.

With Mazraoui, Diallo and Mbeumo away at AFCON, I expect Dorgu to slot in at LWB, with a front three consisting of Mount, Sesko and Cunha.

Dorgu will surely cause Cash problems, drawing over three fouls P/90 on average, while Cunha draws 2.12 and Mount 1.25. Either of those drifting left would give Cash a lot to think about.
