During today’s Hockey Fights Cancer game we remember our friend Bobby Marsala.
We celebrate 15 years of his extraordinary passion working with our Isles family.

Before tonight’s game, the @Mets honored longtime Islanders employee Bobby Marsala, who lost his courageous battle with cancer earlier this summer. Bobby was a cherished member of both the #Isles and Mets families, and his presence will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Our thoughts are with Bobby’s friends, family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Before tonight's game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk.
Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.

Bobby has been courageously fighting Stage 4 Lung cancer since July. With treatment from Northwell Health and the support from his friends, colleagues, and family, including his wife, Jennifer, and kids, Matthew and Victoria, he has valiantly been battling and continues to be an inspiration to all of us.

Before Anthony Volpe agreed to wear #11 with the Yankees, he called Brett Gardner, who last wore 11, and asked for Gardner's blessing. According to Joe Bick, Gardner's agent, Gardner gave Volpe his full approval and wished him all the best with 11. Classy on both ends. #Volpe
