Growing up reading the Post, I didn’t realize it wasn’t like this in other cities. I didn’t know how lucky we were to enjoy giants of their craft like Kornheiser, Wilbon, Boswell, Kindred & Feinstein. George Solomon, who I am lucky to now call a friend, at the helm of an unrivaled room.
Sally Jenkins and Barry Svrluga, among many, later continued the tradition that apparently ends today? It’s hard to process that notion. Everything changes, but the greatness of that newsroom isn’t something that ever becomes outdated or unnecessary.
For us sports fans of a certain age, the sports section of the newspaper taught us how to read. I didn’t grow up with the Washington Post sports section, but I did grow up because of it. Today’s a sad day for my friends and for all of us.
This is such a bummer. This is a legit sports media tragedy. Good, smart sports coverage makes good, smart sports fans. Without it, we're all worse off.
(Again, not a real-life tragedy. I get that there are WAY worse things going on. Everything is terrible. It's a sports media tragedy).
Absolutely disgusting and disturbing video from Charlie Kirk shooting today. Hoping for the best for him and his family. Anybody who is happy about this is a disgusting human.
@Jeff_Ermann I took my dad with me to the first meeting in decades vs Georgetown in 16’. He hadn’t heard a stadium that loud since the glory days of RFK
