Pune: Maharashtra FDA seized 12 fake Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser bottles from Om Chemist in raid.

The liquid inside the bottles passed the quality test, but the manufacturer confirmed the bottles were fake because the packaging, labels, printing and security features were different from the original product.

FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe said fake medicines and cosmetics are a serious risk to public health and warned that strict action will be taken against those involved.

An FIR has been registered, and the investigation is ongoing.
