Certain basic maintenance tasks should really form part of the driving test. Not necessarily the doing of them, but some basic knowledge
@MattTakeThree@shadetreeisback There were many. We had a community nurse who had a TT that she couldn't afford because she 'wanted one' and this one was cheap. Ended up having a tab which nearly reached a grand at one point. Not sure it was ever paid off until stu retired.

Facts its working intermittent suggests a breakdown of the antenna if its getting power
@MattTakeThree The antenna is a coil, so check it for resistance. Should be ~0.03ohm(maybe)..something at least. No ohms is a short, infinite will be a break.
@newinattica From those lists it is easy to see that what is more beneficial to your life come from Europe. The American list is just nice-to-haves.

@davepl1968 There does appear to be a shift back towards buttons. Not as it was in the 90s and before. But it does appear screens are more for secondary info
