It amazes me how disingenuous the average financial reporter is these days when they don't even mention the obvious hyperscaler capex-to-FCF cycle or the surging AI compute profit growth when putting out their sensational "oh no! freak out about current FCF" AI skeptic narratives
Microsoft $MSFT on enterprise AI architecture:
“You’ve got to keep your harness separate from the model.”
“That means any given model, at any given time, is swappable.”
“You can’t depend on any one model.”
“You can’t be subject to the refusals of one model.”
“You can use frontier models. You can use multiple of them. You can use low-cost models, and train your own model when you don’t want to use any external model.”
Microsoft with great Azure guidance for the current quarter: +45% growth y/y.
They printed 43% vs. 40% est. for Azure in the Q4. Great performance! Stock up 8.6%.
"We see as customer demand continues to exceed supply. Even with the strong close to Q4, we continue to expect H1 growth to accelerate."
Today, we are announcing a series of updates that give customers frontier-grade security at half the cost.
MAI-Cyber-1-Flash is our first cybersecurity model, built ground up to find the most challenging vulnerabilities in complex code bases. When combined with MDASH, it delivers world-class performance at 50 percent of the cost of leading models.
We are bringing this capability to market through Project Perception, a complete agentic security offering grounded in real-world signals and security workflows. Teams of specialized agents work together to simulate attacks, detect and triage/investigate, and fix and remediate.
This is the benefit of building the harness, context/signals, and action space separate from one model family. By combining specialized models and data with the right agents, tools, security context, and harness, we can advance the frontier of cost to outcome.
If you break out of your isolation env, get onto the Internet, crack into Huggingface, and steal the answer sheet for your cybersecurity exam, I, for one, would say that you have passed.
Best finish for the best tournament. Ever.

Iowa State’s athletic profile has a true BC/AD split: before Jamie Pollard and after Jamie Pollard.
Not always beloved, but nobody fought harder for ISU or pushed the program forward like Pollard, from his hires to financial growth.

Lots of bad information out there --let's clear it up.
• Recent workforce changes were made to restructure the XBOX business because it is not healthy. They were not made to replace employees with foreign workers.
• The H-1B figures being referenced are Microsoft-wide visa renewals and new hire applications. They are not specific to XBOX and represent a small percentage of Microsoft's overall workforce. And the majority of roles impacted were not American roles.
• XBOX is the largest employer of American workers in the gaming industry and the largest American gaming company.
• And Asha is an American born, raised, and educated CEO, from Wisconsin.
Plenty will be written about Pollard's quirks and the way he operated, but Iowa State is light-years ahead of where it was when he took over, and there's no separating that from his tenure. The impact of what he built is going to be felt for a long time. Thank you, Jamie.

The #1 rule of NFL locker rooms around the league is: "don't be a distraction".
This guy was obviously willing to be a distraction to Texas Tech and College Football as a whole. I'm not surprised that nobody wants to touch him.
Brendan Sorsby's attorney Jeffrey Kessler has signaled to FOS that they will challenge the NFL's decision to not hold a supplemental draft for the quarterback.
“This is an unlawful act in violation of the CBA. The player is going to bring this to the NFLPA.”
Those who are great and aspire for more greatness want to be coached hard. Finding people to tell you how great you are isn't hard; finding someone who can make you better is difficult to find.
This is what growth mindset is all about.
Audi Crooks shares a story about #okstate coach Jacie Hoyt showing her a lowlight reel during her visit.
“Man, that’s really gutsy of you to sit here and show me everything that I’m doing wrong, but I really appreciate that.”
.@satyanadella just put the whole "water" debate to rest.
Datacenters run on a closed loop cooling system, the water usage of a datacenter for an entire year is roughly equivalent to a usage of 1 restaurant!
