It was his post under which Sohail Khan made highly objectionable remarks against Hindu symbols, which flared communal tensions.

Now, Bilaspur police have booked him under highly serious sections, including attempt to murder.

He fears he will be murdered in jail; he is worried about his parents, and blames the city Administration for framing him to destroy his life.

This is the cost each Hindu activist is paying under the 'Hindutva' Govt across states.

And Hindus don't give two hoots about them.

The USS Abraham Lincoln was deployed in a combat zone in the Middle East, for more than 200 days.
Its 5,000 sailors complained constantly about shortages of hot water for showers, monotonous food of the same menu, problems with water and supplies, plumbing issues, low morale and deteriorating mental health. There were even multiple attempts by sailors to jump overboard.

Their relatives in America blamed Trump for the conditions of their sons, and Trump had to recall the USS Lincoln back to the USA.

Now compare this with Indian Army soldiers deployed at Siachen, especially during the six long hard winter months.
Freezing temperatures, -30°C to -40°C in extreme contions to -50 even. Frozen food. Blizzards, Snowstorms. Bone chilling cold that seeps into fingers and toes, causing frostbite and, in severe cases, the danger of amputation. No proper plumbing, no water. No regular showers. No mobile connectivity.

Do you hear about a single Indian Army soldier complain about the conditions in which he guards you ???
Their supplies are not even meant for luxury. They are essential requirements for soldiers defending one of the most inhospitable battlefields on earth.

And then we have people like that hippo, and others who objected to waiting because supplies were being transported to Soldiers at borders before the harsh winter made paths inaccessible !!

We don't deserve such an Army.

At the height of the Ice Age, the busy part of the world was in the Indian subcontinent and equatorial lands. Three great floods took much of it, now on the sea floor.

At Poompuhar, on the coast of Tamil Nadu, an underwater survey has mapped an 11 by 3 kilometre area, twenty-five kilometres out to sea, that appears to hold a drowned harbour, dockyards, settlements and canals wide enough to move over seventy ships at once. Some of the material dates to a period when, in the version of history most people were taught, human beings had not yet invented cities. Archaeologists’ initial dates need further investigation but it appears to be a transformational discovery.

The seas were then 120 metres lower than today. Two subcontinents that no longer exist, Sundaland off Southeast Asia and a second land reaching from Japan toward Taiwan, stood above the water. The warm coasts of the south were where fish were caught, cereals, fruits and nuts were collected, timber grew, and trade goods were gathered. When the ice melted, in three great surges, 25 million square kilometres of lived-on land went under, more than the size of Europe. Its people were sailors; Australia had been reached by boat sixty thousand years before.

The story of the ancient world did not begin where we were taught. It began in the equatorial regions, on coasts now under the water, and the divers are only now starting to reach them.

K C Neogy - 33 days (I assume placeholder? But why not just leave it vacant?)

John Mathai - 1 year 252 days. This is particularly interesting, Mathai a qualified industrialist repeatedly protested to Legru that the unqualified P C Mahalanobis via the planning commission was taking over much of the functions of the Finance ministry. That a non statutory body (planning commission) should not have any say in governance.

In a letter to Mathai, the great Legru wrote simply that he is bound by the Cong working committee resolution and if Mathai disliked Legru so much...why doesn't he just...resign?

The same MO, of the party leader running a kitchen cabinet, bypassing constitutional bodies would continue right till when Sonia was super PM and ran the country via the NAC.

C D Deshmukh then managed 6 years.

But the first cabinet had 4 finance ministers in a period of 9 years.

Legru's second cabinet was a bit more stable but TTK was fired in under a year before Moraji Desai held the position.

This malaise was across the Legru cabinet.

Patel - 3 years (sadly he passed too soon)

C Rajagopalachari - 10 months.

He left because he disagreed with Legru on the Lehruvian view that the Hindu Mahasabha was the greatest threat facing India, Rajagopalachari said it was the commies.

The commies rule of terror has cost India 40,000+ lives and lasted till 2026 March.

Legru again was wrong but he did sack the guy who was right (forced him to resign)

K N katju - 4 years

Law - Ambedkar (4 years, resigned after disagreements with Legru), K N Katju (4 months), Chandra Biswas 4 years again.

Food and Agri ministry was particularly cursed. It saw 7, yes 7 ministers in 9 years!

And on and on it goes.

Legru clearly was a tinpot dictator who brooked no disagreements. While he had great, capable leaders in his first cabinet, he sacked almost all of them or forced them to resign and then stuffed his 2nd and 3rd cabinets with weak, yesmen.

The 1967 diplomatic horror that Congress erased from history.

When China falsely accused young Indian diplomats K. Raghunath and P. Vijay of spying over a simple photo, they were dragged by their necks, stripped, and brutally beaten by a mob of Red Guards on a Beijing runway.

Red Guards beat and kicked two Indian diplomats in wild scenes at Peking airport to-day before they left by air for Hongkong after being expelled from China accused of spying.

The Second Secretary Mr Krishnan Raghunath and the Third Secretary, Mr. P. Vijay were dragged and pushed, held by the neck and arms among a crowd of Red Guards several hundred strong.

They were punched and kicked and Red Guards waved red books of Mao Tse-tung’s quotations at them. Other Indian diplomats were hit and Third Secretary,

C.V. Ranganathan was made to bow his head by the crowd who tried to force him to kneel on the runway.

Embassy staff who tried to go to the aid of the two expelled, diplomats were manhandled and kept away.

The response from the ruling Congress government? Utter paralysis. Prime Minister Indira Gandhi openly admitted in Parliament that it was “not possible… to outline the steps the government might take.”

From the complete surrender of 1967 to the 2008 secret MoU signed with the Chinese Communist Party with Rahul Gandhi right at the table the paper trail of appeasement is clear.

I had filed a police complaint against her at Rabindra Sarobar PS, Kolkata - predictably with no results. Then she sung a song as part of TMC’s election campaign, which said she had the Kaaba in her eyes, Madina in her heart.

Every train from Lahore carried corpses, with dogs and vultures hovering over them. Nehru appealed on the radio to Hindus living in refugee camps to maintain patience and peace.

The next day, he accompanied Indira to the camps.

There, an 80-year-old man, trying to convey his message to Nehru, touched Indira. Nehru immediately slapped him.

The old man was a well-known businessman from Lahore who was facing the hardships of times. After receiving the slap, he laughed out loud and said, "Indira is like my granddaughter because you yourself are my son's age.

You became enraged at the mere touch of my hand, and the Muslims abducted my three young grand-daughters in front of me, yet you say I should forget everything..."

Hearing this, Nehru left the scene, taking Indira with him.

A woman called Saayoni Ghosh, presently an MP of Trinamool Congress, had posted this offensive meme on twitter (now X) through which she maliciously, deliberately and willfully abused Lord Shiva. I am an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and had even walked to Kailash-Mansarovar to pay obeisance to Him. My religious feelings were seriously outraged by this act of Saayoni Ghosh. I had filed a complaint to Rabindra Sarobar PS, Kolkata, against this offensive tweet on 16 January 2021. So far no action has been taken by the police.

In the freezing, unrusted surface of a 1600 yr old monument, he feels the pulse of a chemical formula so advanced that the entire British Empire, with all its steam and coal, still cannot replicate its secret.

Panchanan Neogi (was the Detective of Iron who walked into the ruins of history to prove that India had not just stumbled upon the secret of Wootz steel, India had engineered it. Neogi’s obsession was not just a hobby; it was a crusade that forced the academic elite to bow. In 1914, he was awarded the prestigious Griffith Memorial Prize by the University of Calcutta for his revolutionary work on the history of iron in India.

While the world obsessed over the Damascus blades used by crusaders, they forgot that the steel was not Syrian, it was Indian. Neogi was the man who combined the soul of an archaeologist with the precision of a chemist to prove that India was the Blast Furnace of Antiquity.

Modern electron microscopes have revealed that Wootz steel (the precursor to Damascus steel) contained carbon nanotubes. In 1914, Panchanan Neogi published his masterpiece, Iron in Ancient India.

W/o the help of modern scanners, Neogi used chemical titration & historical forensics to prove that ancient Indian iron-smiths were using a crucible process that was 1000s yrs ahead of Benjamin Huntsman’s European discovery in the 1740s. Neogi proved that the famous Iron Pillar of Delhi which has stood for 1600 yrs w/o rusting was not a miracle, but a specific chemical triumph of High Phosphorus engineering.

Neogi was a student of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, & he inherited the Chemical Nationalism of the era. While British textbooks claimed Indians only knew primitive smelting, Neogi traveled to remote villages & temple sites. He documented the lost furnaces of Bengal, proving that rural blacksmiths were the descendants of a high-tech civilization that had been systematically dismantled by colonial taxes.

He was the 1st to explain the Kher iron of the Birbhum district, a local Bengal iron that was so pure it rivaled the best Swedish ores of the time. Most of Neogi’s groundbreaking work was done while he was a professor at Rajshahi College (now in Bangladesh).

Because he focused on History of Science rather than just New Patentable Chemicals, the Western scientific establishment treated him like a historian, & Indian textbooks treated him as too specialized.

Today, when we talk about Ancient Indian Tech, we are quoting Panchanan Neogi’s data. He is the reason we know that the Steel of the East was the world’s 1st high-carbon alloy. Not content with just iron, he also wrote the definitive work on Copper in Ancient India.

He traced the journey of an atom of copper from the mines of Singhbhum to the statues of the Gupta Empire, proving that Bengal & Bihar were the Surgical Centers of the ancient world because they had mastered the metallurgy of non-ferrous tools.

Panchanan Neogi did not just look at a rusty sword; he looked through it, into a past where his ancestors were masters of the furnace. He remains the Silent Blacksmith of Indian history, the man who proved that before the world knew the name of Steel, India was already forging the future.

What Freedom fighter Sucheta Kriplani said to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee:

"You should not go to Jammu & Kashmir. Pt Jawaharlal Nehru will not let you come back.."

She again warned him when he insisted that he had no personal enmity against Nehru.

Sucheta Kripalani had told him, so many others had told him, that you won’t go, Nehru will not allow you to return safe from there. Dr Mookerjee told Sucheta, ‘I have no personal enmity against Nehru, I am working for a cause, why should he have any vendetta for me?’

Then Sucheta told Dr Mookerjee, ‘You don’t know Nehru, I know Nehru, he looks upon you as his main rival and he will try to remove you from the field if he can and he is capable of anything.’

Sucheta Kriplani (Majumdar before marriage) was from a Bengali Brahmo family.
