@jeremy_gans Agreed. I live near the CBD and saw some bemusing things on Saturday. City effectively barricaded, 40-50 police cars idle at Bridge Rd, ~50 police got off a bus to patrol the very placid Fitzroy Gardens. Hard to see how such actions do not further inflame violent tendencies

@AntiSocialLatte @FoottZane @DoctorKarl To be frank it’s a disgrace. I was fortunate to find docs in Aus who treated me upon a positive test - and low and behold - I became functional again. I’ve been led to believe the AMA remonstrated against some for treating patients. I know they have for other docs.

@weezmgk @SPietschner @DoctorKarl If you are an Australian resident and have a Borrelia burgdorferi infection is it Lyme Disease or something else? Whether it’s indigenous or not is irrelevant when it comes to treating patients, which is the issue here.

@FoottZane @DoctorKarl If we want to get scientific - Borrelia has been found in WA. Is the treatment threshold now one of extensiveness in the wild? Or should the treatment threshold be an irrefutable positive test? I’d hate to get C-19 and have to find the supposed bat before a doc takes me seriously

@FoottZane @DoctorKarl The intense debilitation of the patient is the paramount consideration, but the profession is leveraging a subordinate issue to deny treatment to very sick individuals. Industrial scale gaslighting springs to mind - it’s quite shameful actually.
