@0xC0DE6502@travisgoodspeed@nanochess The PocketEmul author has been hitting this issue as well: https://t.co/BhQgu6czwJ
A true emulator would be part of my goal - but what i really want is to program the PC-1211/PC-1 in assembler. The "dual processor" 4-bit design seems crazy, but was based on their calculators.
@travisgoodspeed@0xC0DE6502@nanochess I think @0xC0DE6502 and I are working on parallel paths - @travisgoodspeed would it be possible for me to get a copy of those high res images as well? I'm trying got trace the test bits in order to dump the ROM without resorting to dash-etch.
Ubuntu live booting from the fingerprint reader usb port. Had to solder to an unpopulated cap near the sata port to get 5v. Data lines are from the flex.
@schwartz_jeremy@crtdude@techknight2 I'm sure we can get at the connector. Looking at the dock PCB and probing on the computer itself, I don't see anything surprising yet. The fun part will be sourcing those connectors if we want to build our own docks.
My EFI patch works! Turns out, it has to be packed into the original dump whereas I kept trying to patch it into the feature unlocked website V0.7 version. That doesn't work. I do want to try and figure that out, though.
@blackroomsec well said! My problem is filing and remembering little nuggets of information I've learned like this. Those learned through "trial by fire" stick in my brain. Others tend to get lost in my memory, post-it notes, OneNote files, and various other methods I've tried.
@blackroomsec Sorry this happened. It usually takes 24 hours or so to digest. From your posts, I can see you have a great skillset though - and will have no trouble finding something new when and where you want it.
