What is productivity, and why are we so obsessed with it like it's our raison d'etre as human beings?
It seems obvious, but are we burning out because we're using an outdated understanding that's not fit for the hybrid era?

We had an excellent Q&A session last Friday with @jen_butcher, @commsmatt and @ajgapud, discussing how to support remote working parents through lockdown 3.0 and beyond.
Missed it? Catch up here: https://t.co/4lLS69qXYv
There's a lot of power in ritual. But does this translate to a remote working world? Cultural anthropologist @ajgapud believes so.

@russyork@MohammadHussain@Tweet_Dec Thanks for this - both the OP and the share! It's a great example of looking at how weird things that are taken for granted often are!
Here are a few thoughts on some better ways to think about your culture. Start by recognising that it's not an add-on or a component of your organisation. It *is* your organisation. It's your people. It's you.

It's brilliant to see so many #InternalComms and HR pros joining @irishmikeh, @ajgapud & @CVivyanRoberts this Friday as we talk boundaries, burnout and supporting our people.
There's still time to sign up. Bring coffee and questions. https://t.co/OghkDvYPlk
Felt the boundaries around your time, space or energy pushed to the limit this year? You're not alone. How can we help our people (and ourselves) find balance & avoid burnout? Join @ajgapud, @irishmikeh & guest panellist @CVivyanRoberts for the chat. https://t.co/qusckYonsU
What do the worlds of #InternalCommunication and cultural anthropology have in common? More than you might think. @ajgapud shares his observations. https://t.co/F6pg09HJvC
Combining my training as an anthropologist and my work as an Internal Comms consultant has been fun. It's given me a chance to put those abstract anthropological ideas into new contexts to explore questions about our worlds of work that really matter.

Efforts to rebrand Colston statue plaque to tell the whole truth about the man-have been stymied for years. This is the result, complacency reaps a whirlwind. Let's hope meaningful structural change re racial justice and an inclusive honest history follows. #BLMbristol@bbc5live
@jmittra @uoessps The very odd thing about the Colston statue is that being symbolically problematic as it is, it also raises a lot of questions and issues. And I would argue that more than any one single thing in the UK it's galvanised and created a movement of resistance.
@jmittra @uoessps Thanks for the shout-outs, folks!
It's a fascinating time, to be sure.
But I think what matters more than removing statues is remembering that a) our systems were founded upon this injustice and b) the toppling of a statue doesn't actually end the struggle.
