@hackerdocc The question is a bit about what to verify. There is obviously some behaviour that we never want (use-after-free, race conditions, stuff like that), and I agree that it‘s basically the solution for that. But specifying the ENTIRE behaviour is the same as programming it
Yeah there are definitely other factors, and bureaucracy is not going to stop anyone serious from starting a startup. I could definitely see people going somewhere else (eg to Switzerland or the US) to avoid all that though. We shouldn‘t make it neededlessly hard for people and addressing this would definitely show more commitment than just saying something.
People working more would definitely help, but people in eg the US don‘t work more out of loyalty to their country, but due to specific incentives (partly tax-related). Changing those incentives would help more.
What are the main bottlenecks in your experience?
okay, i know we are all very excited, but ive seen some posts that have made it clear that you all dont know absolute dick about trucks
first, this is a toyota hilux. its basically a beefier tacoma. its pretty sweet. the second pic is the 80s version you might recognize
next is the landcruiser 70 series. this is the truck that we ACTUALLY need in the usa. theyre sold by the boatload to humanitarian orgs and NGOs in the middle east and thats how they end up in the hands of like, the taliban and isis or whatever. super badass truck. no real equivalent sold in the usa, our full size trucks are all luxury suv's with a bed. the landcruiser 70 series is what we need
lastly. the hilux champ. this is a smaller pared down compact truck thats being sold in like, asia or whatever. it doesnt comply with american crash or emissions regs. in the developing world, it sells for like $20k. i dont think trump repealing CAFE standards means theyre gonna sell it here, especially not that cheap because itll still have to be re engineered to meet american crash safety regulations.
