Veteran Achievers Award: Recognising Contributions, Rewarding Excellence

#GeneralUpendraDwivedi, #COAS honoured two esteemed #Veterans, Major Ajit Singh (Retd) and Gunner Malkiat Singh (Retd) with the 'Veteran Achievers Award' at #NewDelhi during the Retiring Officers Seminar.

Major Ajit Singh (Retd) has dedicated his post-retirement years to uplifting marginalised communities in Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland. He established a network of over 20,000 farmers, improving their incomes, and facilitated 150 livelihoods in food processing. In 2012, he founded Anant Learning & Development and the Anant Foundation, impacting over 200,000 people through skill development and entrepreneurship training, particularly for women. He also created tech platforms like Rozgarmela and Mazdoor Adda to enhance opportunities. He also mentors Northeast youth for careers in the Armed Forces.

Gunner Malkiat Singh (Retd) retired due to an injury during Para Probation. After his retirement, he founded MS Academy, a free physical training program that has trained over 2,000 youth and helped recruit around 350 individuals into the Armed Forces, Punjab Police and Para Military Forces. He collaborates with the Shaheed Udham Singh NGO and Punjab Police to raise drug awareness in Abohar District schools. Additionally, he volunteered as a Guardians of Governance during the COVID-19 pandemic and served the society.
