there are definitely a lot of Very Normal Men hating on this movie because it dares to star a woman and the antagonist is a guy trafficking young girls, but if i’m honest i was a bit disappointed by the story having that plotline, only for it to be sidelined for the dog antidote

@MarthaAhumuza relatedly though there is definitely an unspoken rule that the less a woman is conventionally-attractive, the more she must perform femininity to be accepted/less rejected. e.g. a fat woman is "expected" to be wear more makeup + v feminine clothing to "make-up" for being fat

@MarthaAhumuza i see the logic, but i'd argue it's more that conventionally-attractive women are generally given more permission to do ANYTHING by society. there's definitely an eagerness to argue "bitterness" in nonCA women but i don't think it changes the fact society doesn't like feminism

@skarsghardy i haven’t done this myself yet but apparently if you speak with dead on the little girl it turns out she’s a decoy and leon did actually manage to smuggle the real victoria out.

still not great dal killed a child but it seems leon expected something of that sort.
