“Be quiet!” That’s the President of the United States speaking to a female reporter just doing her job, and no one even blinks. He is normalizing aggressive misogyny from the highest office in the nation and facing no pushback. That is extremely dangerous for women everywhere.
Earlier today while working on the farm, my phone began going crazy because of a post made by a member of my comms team.
The post was stupid, hurtful and a complete distraction from my America First focus. The employee has been reprimanded.
“Bear is the villain” and “Bear is the victim” are both reductive reads of the film.
It’s FAR more interesting to engage with the film by acknowledging that what Bear did was wrong and evil, but also analyzing the assemblage of factors that lead to the events happening.
Obsession is such an embarrassment to every producer and studio head and filmmaker who bemoans the impending death of filmmaking and wants to shepard us towards "evolving" into AI filmmaking.
