This is the WORST INTERVIEW EVER! I don’t know where Barbara Walters was working in 1977 - NBC or ABC - but no network should have broadcast this trash interview
Dolly had this "no shit, Sherlock" approach to social issues that used to be very ingrained in the country star archetype. like, always admitting she doesn't know everything, but wanting to get it right and not taking any shit at the same time. may we all be so humble
I'm sorry we never got a chance to meet, but getting this note from Dolly really had a an impact on me. She definitely didn't have to take the time to do it. Even for a kid who mostly listened to rap music, she was an icon. A superstar in every sense. Rest easy Dolly. And thank you for the kind words.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford: "The red states we're gonna hit hard ... you think an insult from him [Trump] hurts me? Bring it on, buddy. You're a loser."
Good Response here from Jessica Tarlov to JD Vance’s remarks.
Jessica: Vance said, “We are finally seeing the American dream of home ownership accessible again to young people.” The average age of homeownership just hit 40 years old in this country. Mortgage rates are up. Construction is down. That's directly related to the war in Iran.
And then he also said, “In November, we'll face a choice. Do we demand a government that serves us rather than the fraudsters and the criminals? Do we demand that the American president fight for the American people first?” 70% of Americans say Donald Trump isn't focused on lowering costs, doesn't care about people like me, and 70% say he has businesses influence how he makes political decisions.
JD Vance is describing his own government, the fraudsters and the criminals, and Americans will vote based on that.
This image was sent to me from the field. These are messages US servicemen in the Persian Gulf have scribbled on the dust of an aircraft flap.
"Be a good guy and do what Israel tells you to"
"Operation Epstein Fury"
"Peace deal #64 incoming... ALL THIS FOR THE HOLY LAND"
I have no frame of reference, I can't compare it to the sentiments of US soldiers in previous conflicts. But I suspect these are new sentiments, or at least a new willingness to express them this openly and directly.
But as one serviceman told me: "What people in the media don't understand when they compare past conflicts to this one, is this operation has no morale behind it. That makes a world of difference to service members deployed to undesirable locations indefinitely."
Read that last part again: No morale. Deployed to undesirable locations INDEFINITELY.
My own conclusion: When a war has no morale behind it, winning means that you simply end it. There is no other "winning" in such an unjust war.
Ossoff: When he first announced the tariffs, you remember that? He called it Liberation Day, and it crashed the markets because it was clown policy. You remember that?
OK, so follow me through on this. He announces the tariffs on April 2 of last year. The markets tank nonstop for like a week because it’s a disastrous trade policy, and six days into the crash, April 8, Trump buys millions in stock. I’m talking Amazon, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, Berkshire Hathaway, and then the very next morning, April 9, he posts on Truth Social, quote, “This is a great time to buy.” Three exclamation marks.
OK, now listen to this. Three hours and 41 minutes after that post, one day after he bought millions in stock, he canceled the tariffs and triggered one of the biggest same-day rebound rallies in market history.
He’s trying to get money. And you saw, now he’s offering paid subscriptions to presidential announcements, right? Just understand what’s for sale here: The sitting president’s pronouncements on war and peace and economic policy delivered first to paying customers.
What an absolute crook.

Karoline Leavitt is getting glowing reviews of her performance as press secretary when she dodged, attacked, and obfuscated for the most part. A few examples of the lies we heard: claiming the US spent $50M on condoms for Gaza, calling the Epstein files a 'hoax,' denying war plans were shared with Jeffrey Goldberg over Signal, branding Abrego Garcia a gang member with zero evidence, and insisting America is more affordable under Trump.
That's not a press secretary doing her job well. That's demeaning the press and calling the public insane for noticing the gaslighting.
Listen to what Hillary Clinton is saying:
“I think it is very likely that after the midterm elections, Trump will become even more uncontrollable. Let’s assume — from my point of view — the most favorable scenario: we take back control of the House and the Senate. He will not cooperate with them. He will do everything possible to undermine their work. He will instruct his subordinates not to respond to requests and even to ignore subpoenas. He will be headed for a serious confrontation with Congress.
And he will use executive orders and every power at his disposal to advance his own agenda.
I think he will pardon corrupt people much more frequently. Look at the list of people he has pardoned: these are pure transactions. You — or someone on your behalf — give me money. I don’t care that you defrauded, say, elderly people in nursing homes (which is exactly what one of the people he pardoned did, causing them enormous harm and owing billions of dollars in restitution) — I’ll just take the money and erase...”
35 years ago today, ‘Doug,’ ‘Rugrats’ and ‘The Ren & Stimpy Show’ premiered on Nickelodeon.
The three series were the first Nicktoons, launching a new era of original animation for the network.
CNN side by side video of Trump saying today he didn’t know the reflecting pool contractor and…
Trump in April saying: I have a guy who's unbelievable at doing swimming pools. I'm going to send my contractor over.
Yes, this picture won an award. It has been framed and on my office wall since it first appeared. And I'm sorry, but it makes me laugh every time I look at it. I actually took it to Michael's and had it enlarged and framed. Even the employee that helped me was laughing at it.
There's that poor guy lying on the floor with his feet in the air while Trump stands there looking like the stupidest man on earth. It is the antithesis of what the presidency should represent.
GRAHAM: “We’ve done it — I almost cried. We’ve been pushing this for years… Trump loves blowing stuff up.”
WSJ releases a new doc showing dead Republican Senator Lindsey Graham laughing that he helped Bibi convince Trump to attack Iran and get us into another deadly costly war
Hunter Biden: “People believed there was this thing called the Biden crime family. I didn’t do a single piece of business when my dad was president. I made basically $200K a year selling paintings. Don and Eric have done over $1.3B just in contracts for underlying companies they have an ownership stake in with the DoD”
