1/ The details emerging in court about the murder of 24-year-old Kirandeep Kaur are horrific.
A young mother, stabbed to death while asleep beside her husband and baby in her own home.
If ever a case should have shocked the nation, this is one of them

The entire Sikh community has been "demonised" as one individual has broken the law and been found guilty of murder.
The murder weapon was NOT a Kirpan (one of the 5 Ks), it has a different name that does not start with K, but the @CPSUK is refusing to share an image of the murder weapon with @BBCNews@SkyNews@PA@thetimes etc. after the case concluded last Thursday.
It was incorrectly described as a Kirpan in court and media reporting. @Dabinderjit@SikhFedUK wrote to @ShabanaMahmood@LabourSJ@Nesil_Caliskan and hope Judge William Mousley KC makes this clear when sentencing on Monday or it will be a massive disservice to the Sikh community.
Sensible politicians like @DavidDavisMP@aliciakearns that have made the mistake of calling for restrictions on the Kirpan based on this misinformation should distance themselves from @RupertLowe10@RobertJenrick@ZiaYusufUK

Genuinely one of my favourite videos ever, those lads gave everything to get us over the line, setting records along the way. A truly magnificent side, a magnificent manager, just the absolute best and I loved them all
Stephen Whittle sold his FA Cup semi-final ticket to his best friend, who died at Hillsborough. Stephen was wracked with guilt for selling the ticket. On 26 February 2011, he stepped in front of a train and was killed. He left £61,000 to the Hillsborough families in his will.

When Oliver went into hospital I could never have imagined that a lack of training would cost him his life
That is why I campaign for better understanding of learning disability & autism
Behind every statistic is a person who deserves to live thrive & be valued
Spot on. And not just the Beeb - @Nigel_Farage gets a very easy ride because he is treated as fellow commentator and fellow mainstream media critic of main parties. Never gets challenged on his Brexit role. Rarely on actual policy. Well said @EdwardJDavey
