So besides the French protesting for the right to a decent education.
We have the Spainish protesting the right to affordable homes.
And peaceful pensioners are being arrested in the UK for opposing genocide.
You'd never know that politicians were put there to serve us.
Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.
On this day 26 years ago, the world watched, as Jamal al-Durrah tried to protect his 12-year-old son Muhammad from Israeli bullets that rained down on them in Gaza for 40 minutes. Despite pleads, Israeli soldiers intentionally shot Muhammad in the stomach- whose final moments of fear and horror were caught on camera and streamed by France TV, and injured his father.
Muhammad became the defining and haunting image of the Second Intifada.
Ex England cricketer @philtufnell recounts the story of an umpire in a hurry for the match to finish, so he can take his wife to a birthday dinner.
This is simply hilarious.
> Netanyahu expected to lose election
> He’s still facing 7 criminal charges
> He takes a trip to the UAE this week
> He returns to Israel after 6 hour meeting
> He warns of terror plot before elections
> Iranians respond saying they are not planning attack & Netanyahu is just trying to cancel the elections
> 24 hours later flight FZ1073 takes off from UAE to Israel
> Attempted hijacking & 9/11-style terrorist attack on flight
> Israeli special ops on board thwart attack
> Netanyahu immediately convenes security cabinet meeting
All too predictable…
I explained this on a thread. People talk about FFP protecting clubs and "the red cartel"
FFP came at an horrific time for Liverpool, we were days away from administration and bought by FSG for cheap.
We had debt, we were poorly run and instantly in breach of FFP rules.
Our owners got to work though, took on a bunch of American sponsors, got a new kit deal, at the time the biggest in the PL, and improved the stadium, all to increase revenue.
Contracts were also changed, and new signings were put on much smaller contracts with win bonuses, and had to stay a certain % under our earnings to make sure we did not overspend.
For years we were known as the club who had to sell to buy, from 2010-2017, we were limited in spending and every player was bought by selling others.
Even recently, we signed Chiesa as the only major incoming for 11m to make sure we stayed in the 3 year FFP limit, because we knew we had to spend the following summer on ageing players / expired contracts.
FFP did not help Liverpool, it hindered us, for years, but we played by the rules, we introduced data and moneyball tactics to get our advantage over other teams.
We did not simply carry on spending and refuse to give PL documents to hide it, nor did we fraudulently inject cash into the club for a quick fix.
Liverpool is a self sustained football club, not many in the PL can say that.
Former Tory, who was a Tory eight months ago, and represented the Tories for more than 30 years, demands other Tories apologise for their errors - but doesn’t offer one himself.
Incredible, really... 😂

The Manchester City cheating scandal, just like Chelsea’s cheating under Abramovich, is the inevitable result of complacent regulators allowing British football to be used for sportswashing by charlatans, crooks and despotic regimes
Guilty on 114 of 115 charges
Dark day for football, our national game has been made a mockery
Clubs in the prem have consistently shown that the rules mean nothing, they'll break them regardless
A dark day indeed.....
Prices in the UK have absolutely lost the plot
£12 for fish and chips
Almost £2 per litre for fuel
£45 for a driving lesson
Over £2 for a bottle of pop
£20 for a takeaway for one person
£20 for a 15 minute taxi
Weekly food shop for one person £80
£100 a night for a "cheap" hotel
Rent prices through the roof
At this point we're just getting robbed.
It's with bottomless grief & white hot rage that we announce the death of my uncle Dunc.
He was in the ambulance that was held up by these heartless thugs.
They say if he'd made it to hospital 2 minutes earlier he'd still be alive.
His name was Dunc Brian Gliebitz

I agree with Dale Vince (I often do). You want a British passport. You pay tax to Britain. You move to avoid paying tax, the tax payer does not pick up your repatriation costs (see Dubai). Surrender your passport and citizenship if you don’t want to pay British tax. Just like USA
I don’t think people fully understand what’s happening. We’re not being priced out of luxury. We’re being priced out of normal. A house, car, Groceries, Childcare, Insurance,These weren’t extravagant expectations 20 years ago.
Jim Radcliffe's empire has made over 10k British workers redundant since Brexit.
If that's the definition of a wealth creator, we don't need them at all
