@airindia Boarded at 0930 for 1000 take off Mum - Del. A/C parked 20 minute drive from the terminal. It's 1037 now. Still parked. Not a squeak from the cockpit about the reasons for this delay. Instead of whining about fuel prices, get your house in order - doesn't cost money.
@LtGovDelhi@max_amb Appreciate your concern, LG bit what is being done about it ? This is part of a larger systemic malaise and reflects the collapsing governance structure as goons now openly mock the law and order machinery while the stands helplessly, compromised at all levels.
@myogioffice In Sec 28,29 Noida, a virus in the prepaid smart meters led to a power outage. Instead of checking the issue, UPPCL made everybody pay more money into their account. Today the UPPCL rep in newspaper said that it was because bills were not paid which is a BLATANT LIE.
@airindia Efficient check in process, attentive and courteous cabin crew; the Captain kept us updated; the flight took off on schedule. Overall a comfortable flying experience.
@Chellaney Propaganda is just one aspect and not a decisive one; it is temporary. So let's not set too much in store by that. In 1971 Dawn had reported that Pak had reached almost as far as Delhi - did that propaganda make any difference to the outcome. It didnt.
@Chellaney Sorry, but denying and deliberately obfuscating the issue was damaging India's credibility. In war there will be damage on both sides, but we came out stronger. Disclosing facts reluctantly seems more like a lie being caught. And also, lying does not come easily in uniform.
@ShivAroor@ncbipindra Why do we trade with China? It has waged war on our borders and has illegally occupied Indian territory, or for that matter why with the US, who support the Pak F16 fleet ?
@arunp2810 We were driving through Kashmir last year and stopped for breakfast at a small restaurant enroute to Anantnag. We asked the owner's daughter where she studied and were taken aback when she replied Islamabad. Then her father explained that locally it's called by that name by many.
@AdityaRajKaul The Indian Navy's deployment in the Arabian Sea with the right message will be enough to choke Pakistan economically. They are dependent on foreign shipping which will not approach or will hike insurance premia to a level Pak won't be able to afford.
Ambassador Shyam Saran responded to every question with patience and his deep knowledge of the subject. This led to a very engaged interacting with the audience which went on for longer than his address. One of the best Admiral Katari lectures I have witnessed.
The talk witnessed enthusiastic participation of audience comprising serving & retired officers & their spouses, research scholars & school children.
Lecture is held every year, in honour of 1st Indian Chief of the Naval Staff, & is organised, under the aegis of NFC Delhi.
Ambassador Shyam Saran's talk was a masterclass on climate change. His brilliant articulation reflected his deep understanding of the subject, and the Q&A which followed showed how well his talk resonated with the audience.
Ambassador Shyam Saran, President IIC, Former Foreign Secretary and Former Special Envoy of Prime Minister for Climate Change delivered the 30th Admiral RD Katari Memorial Lecture on 'Climate Change: Beyond the Tipping Point' on 25 Apr 25 at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.
