@Roobarbwrexham @BernoulliDefect I'm not a huge fan of them, but your tweet is not accurate. 3% of their staff are on zero hour contracts. They also pay above minimum wage (not including bonus scheme, tips, and share incentives).

So, sadly no response to my requests to @Meta or @facebook regarding regaining access to my account. Bizarrely, they keep on adding back my email address without removing the hacker's email address. Hugely frustrating.

@facebook @fbsecurity What is most surprising is how Facebook's systems are so simplistic that someone in another country can bypass 2FA, access my account, remove my email, my mobile, and Facebook doesn't stop to think that that just might be questionable. Nope.

@facebook @fbsecurity Seemingly, my only option now is to resubmit my ID and ask for 2FA to be removed (not _my_ 2FA, but the hackers). This will take another 24 hours (supposedly). In the meantime, I'm left unaware of what the hell is happening with my account.

@facebook @fbsecurity So my ID had been verified. My initial email address has been re-added to the account. And a temporary password issued. However, because I had 2FA before, the hacker has obviously added their own 2FA. That means the codes from my app are NOT valid. I have NO WAY to get in.

@facebook @fbsecurity Eventually, I was able to click enough random links in a panic that Facebook said they could let me upload a photo of my ID (passport) to confirm my ID. They promised a response in 24 hours. 48 hours later, I finally received a response... But...

@facebook @fbsecurity How the hacker was able to bypass 2FA, I'm not sure. Regardless, I was stuck. There was no way to reset a password on an account given my email address/mobile number were no longer associated with the account.

@facebook @fbsecurity I'm current on holiday. I woke the other day to several concerning emails. A new email address had been added to my Facebook account (at 5am local time). Subsequently, my own email address and mobile numbers were removed from FB. Surely this should raise a few red flags?

@facebook @fbsecurity I've always treated the security of accounts seriously. I help manage advertising campaigns, I'm an admin on a Facebook Page with over 10 million followers, etc. So, a very secure password (not re-used) and I utilise two-factor authentication (via Google Authenticator).
