My father, an Indian Air Force personnel, has been harassed, blackmailed, and extorted by a packers & movers company during his official transfer from Nagpur to Silchar.

We had hired Reliable Packers and Movers to shift our household goods. They promised to transport everything in a sealed container, which we would lock in Nagpur and unlock ourselves in Silchar — a standard and trusted practice followed by defence families.

However, after the goods were loaded and the container was locked by us, the transporter broke the seal, confiscated all our belongings, and is now demanding a huge additional payment to release them.

He has also threatened to damage or destroy everything if we do not pay the amount he is asking for.

My father is already in Silchar, serving the nation, while we — his family — are stuck and helpless, facing intimidation and mental harassment.

We have clear video proof showing us locking the container in Nagpur and also videos of where our goods are currently stored and the condition they are being kept in.

It is extremely disheartening that even a defence family, whose member is serving India with integrity, has to face such extortion, threats, and trauma during a simple transfer.

We sincerely request @NagpurPolice @DGPMaharashtra @CMOMaharashtra @mygovindia @HMOIndia @nagpurcp @DefenceMinIndia to take urgent and strict action against Reliable Packers and Movers and ensure our belongings are returned safely.

No family serving this country should ever face this kind of injustice and exploitation.
