At St. Aloysius School, the teacher befriended the student, asked for nude photos, and pressured her to accept Islam in Jabalpur.

She stopped puja and bhakti at home, after which her parents found out.

A police complaint has been filed. The teacher has been arrested under the POCSO Act.

Don’t know who the comic is, but he was definitely gross and unfunny. The hardest thing about political satire is the difference between sharp & cruel. This was not sharp, it was cruel, the timing was off, it landed badly even with Congress supporters. When your star campaigner is going to share stage with a performer you should have checked his jokes and done a dummy run in front of mixed audiences. Now the fallout is shared by your leader. The opposition had enough jokes to crack on Dr MMS silences or Mr ABV’s pauses or Deve Gowda’s napping or Rajiv Gandhi’s fumbles but the then top opposition leaders never indulged in it. They instinctively knew. They didn’t have MBA analysts with laptops egging them on. The office of the PM is respected & you might make fun of the person in private but on public platforms the language is formal, the criticism needs to be satirical and indirect. The Jantar Mantar event seems to have misled many people to believe that India’s public language has changed across the country. It might have to some extent, granted. But they don’t want you to adopt it. From you they expect decorum. That is why you are leaders, we/they are masses.

Woman relative of a child angrily confronted the school and teachers over this and it was captured on camera and widely circulated - triggering outrage, intervention by agencies and eventually leading to rustication of a teacher

The story didn't end here

The woman relative is the child's mausi. The child's parents are not talking to her anymore. Clearly, they prefer proximity to the school more than possible conversion of their son. I have already written on how most Hindus do not know or understand the conversion game

The woman herself was targeted by the teacher's supporters for weeks - both online and in streets. She was forced to stop going to office and take unpaid leave. We know this as we are in touch with her

This is the ground reality of dharmik warriors. If she had not bravely confronted the school staff, the practice would never have been stopped. But instead of reward, she faced boycott and harassment

Facts:
14 out of which 100, all enrolled students, outstation students, eligible applicants or students who actually applied for hostels?

The latest AISHE report does not merely provide a percentage, it shows how substantially hostel infrastructure has expanded.
Hostels: 37,941 → 55,522 — up 46%
Bed capacity: 58.32 lakh → 87.78 lakh — up 51%
Students residing: 38.25 lakh → 49.46 lakh — up 29%
Total higher-education enrolment: 3.42 crore → 4.50 crore — up 31.5%

Eklavya Model Residential Schools increased from just 110 functional schools in 2013–14 to 479 by July 2025, growth of over 335%. Overall, 728 EMRSs have been approved, providing tribal children free residential education with separate hostels, meals, books and uniforms.

Under Samagra Shiksha, 242 new residential schools and hostels were completed between 2018–19 and November 2024. Additionally, 2,303 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas were upgraded up to Class XII, extending residential education for girls beyond Class VIII.

Under PM-JANMAN, 194 hostels were approved during 2023–24 and 2024–25 for children belonging to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups.
Under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, the government has targeted 1,000 additional tribal hostels by 2028–29. In 2024–25 alone, 304 hostels worth ₹1,102.19 crore were approved.

In February 2024 alone, the government inaugurated or laid the foundation for 34 SC/OBC hostels worth ₹165.81 crore, creating accommodation for 5,456 students.

Rahul Gandhi erased EMRS, KGBV, Samagra Shiksha, PM-JANMAN, SHRESHTA and hundreds of newly sanctioned hostels, and then produced “14 out of 100” without even identifying the 100. When the denominator disappears, propaganda appears.

Lie No. 7: “The Vyapam scam, which was admitted by the then BJP government, did not see any convictions or action.”

Verdict: FALSE ❌

Reality: The claim that there was no action or conviction is simply not supported by the record.

The BJP-led Madhya Pradesh government under Shivraj Singh Chouhan took cognisance of the Vyapam allegations and initiated a major crackdown against those involved in examination and recruitment irregularities.

Statewide Raids & Arrests: Following major arrests by the Indore Police in July 2013, the state government launched a broader crackdown targeting impersonators, middlemen, officials and examination racketeers.

Creation of Special Task Force (STF): In August 2013, the Madhya Pradesh government handed the investigation over to a specialised STF to investigate the allegations and identify those involved.

High-Profile Arrests: The STF arrested thousands of people in connection with the case, including officials, impersonators, middlemen and alleged kingpins. Former Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Laxmikant Sharma was also arrested in connection with the investigation.

Request for CBI Probe: On July 7, 2015, then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan sought the transfer of the Vyapam cases and related deaths to the CBI. The Supreme Court subsequently transferred the investigation to the CBI.

Cancellation of Admissions & Ranks: Candidates found to have obtained medical admissions through fraudulent means or impersonation faced cancellation of their admissions, ranks and degrees. Several appointments obtained through irregular recruitment examinations were also cancelled.

Termination of Jobs: Government appointments obtained through fraudulent recruitment examinations were annulled, and candidates accused in these cases faced criminal proceedings.

Convictions: The CBI subsequently prosecuted numerous accused in Vyapam-related cases, with 100+ convictions secured in cases before designated courts.

Sentences: Convicted individuals received prison sentences and financial penalties depending on their roles in the respective cases.

So the claim that the Vyapam scam saw “no action” and “no convictions” is FALSE. ❌
