The Defence Minister is right. It’s why I have never been considered Jewish by the Jewish community. My mother was a Church of England Protestant. And by this logic, my father was not Jewish either. His mother was a French Catholic. As ever, in attempting to undermine my sons, Pakistan’s Defence Minister has scored an embarrassing own goal.
Our multibillionaire President’s Labor Day message is telling the American tax paying slaves they don’t work enough and need to work more to fund his historically high government spending, never ending Iran War, and import his foreign mystery meat, while he goes golfing at one of his many private golf courses with his best buddies in the Epstein class.
Meanwhile in the real world college graduates can’t find a job, in most families both parents work their tails off, many Americans work 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet, and the national price of gas is still above $4/gallon.
It’s not the American people who need to change their ways.
Actually, they voted for Trump to change the Swamp in order to Make America Great Again!
But instead, it turns out Trump was the very snake he warned about all along.
Canada will match the new U.S. tariffs dollar for dollar.
In addition, we are introducing $7.5 billion in new and enhanced measures to support Canadian workers and businesses. That builds on the nearly $25 billion in supports introduced since the implementation of the U.S. unjustified tariffs.
Defending Canadian jobs, industries, and families.

Prime Minister @andyburnham and Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband : how much longer will Britain remain silent?
For three years the father of my two sons, and Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has been brutally penalised by his political opponents, in a personal vendetta by Army Chief, Asim Munir, which according to the UN, amounts to torture and which is now taking a potentially fatal toll on his physical and mental health.
He has endured 3 years of solitary confinement. For nearly ten months now his family has been denied contact with him. He has been deprived of the most basic human contact, denied access to books, lawyers and doctors.
The international human-rights standards are unequivocal. Under the UN’s Nelson Mandela Rules, solitary confinement lasting more than 15 consecutive days is prohibited and amounts to torture.
He has endured this treatment not for 15 days, but for three years.
Pakistan’s own Supreme Court has now intervened: ordering comprehensive medical treatment, access to his personal doctor, regular family visits and twice-weekly calls with his sons.
Yet those orders are being defied.
This is no longer simply a Pakistani political matter. It is a human-rights emergency.
He has deep and lifelong ties to Britain. He studied at Oxford University, captained Oxford University cricket and spent years playing county cricket in England. His relationship with this country stretches back more than half a century. His charitable activities were internationally recognised, and include building the only free cancer hospital in Pakistan as well as a university.
His sons, my two boys, Sulaiman and Kasim, are British citizens. They have been forced to watch their father’s health decline from thousands of miles away, prevented from visiting him, denied visas, publicly threatened by government officials with arrest themselves, and even denied court-mandated regular phone calls.
I have repeatedly appealed to the UK government to intervene. Purported attempts at back channelling have evidently failed. The previous Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy informed me in writing that Britain would not intervene if my sons, British citizens, are arrested when they travel to Pakistan to visit their father.
@FCDOGovUK: Britain must now speak out publicly and unequivocally. Demand that Pakistan comply with its own Supreme Court; restore Imran Khan’s medical access, his right to see his family, end his prolonged isolation and uphold his fundamental human rights.
Pakistan is a Commonwealth country. Britain has a long and proud tradition of standing against arbitrary detention, inhumane treatment and the denial of fundamental rights. Those principles mean very little if we invoke them only selectively and neglect them when inconvenient.
This an appeal to the new Burnham government to please now do the right thing.

We won. I am so proud to be your Democratic nominee for US Senate. Let's win in November.
AOC refused to vote for my amendment to strip funding for Israel.
She can run her mouth all she wants but votes are the only thing that matters, not a bunch of words and nasty name calling.
Today we designated Rep. Andy Ogles an anti-Muslim extremist after his un-American fascist call to eliminate all Muslims from the United States.
The First Amendment guarantees religious freedom to everyone in our nation, including American Muslims. If any member of Congress had declared that ‘Jews do not belong in America,’ that politician would rightfully face condemnation and censure.
Yet like Randy Fine and other anti-Muslim extremists in Congress, Mr. Ogles has faced no consequences for his dangerous rhetoric, even as American Muslim elected officials experience censure motions, threats and harassment for daring to criticize Israel’s genocide in Gaza. The double standards and hypocrisy must end.

If this happened in Israel or the United States, it would be on the front page of every newspaper and we wouldn’t stop hearing about it.
But because it happened in Iran their lives are considered less valuable.
The United States has spent EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS fighting and policing in the Middle East. Thousands of our Great Soldiers have died or been badly wounded. Millions of people have died on the other side. GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE.....
The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Lebanese Republic, the Syrian Arab Republic, and the State of Palestine, and the secretariats of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the League of Arab States (LAS), and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) express their strong condemnation and profound concern regarding the statements made by the United States Ambassador to Israel, in which he indicated that it would be acceptable for Israel to exercise control over territories belonging to Arab states, including the occupied West Bank.
They affirm their countries’ categorical rejection of such dangerous and inflammatory remarks, which constitute a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and pose a grave threat to the security and stability of the region.
The Ministries stressed that these statements directly contradict the vision put forward by U.S. President Donald J. Trump, as well as the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which are based on containing escalation and creating a political horizon for a comprehensive settlement that ensures the Palestinian people have their own independent state. They underscored that the plan is grounded in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence, and that remarks seeking to legitimize control over the lands of others undermine these objectives, fuel tensions, and constitute incitement rather than advancing peace.
The Ministries reaffirmed that Israel has no sovereignty whatsoever over the Occupied Palestinian Territory or any other occupied Arab lands. They reiterated their firm rejection of any attempts to annex the West Bank or separate it from the Gaza Strip, their strong opposition to the expansion of settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and their categorical rejection of any threat to the sovereignty of Arab states.
They further warned that the continuation of Israel’s expansionist policies and unlawful measures will only inflame violence and conflict in the region and undermine the prospects for peace and called for an end to these incendiary statements. The Ministries underscored their countries’ steadfast commitment to the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and to the establishment of their independent state along the lines of 4 June 1967, and the end of the occupation of all Arab lands.
URGENT: The U.S. is moving toward a potential war with Iran, with aircraft carriers, warships, and hundreds of fighter jets already positioned as officials warn strikes could come soon a catastrophic conflict that would put millions of lives at risk, endanger tens of thousands of U.S. troops in the region, and repeat the deadly mistakes of Iraq. Regardless of how you feel about Iran’s government, another war in the Middle East would be devastating and avoidable; Congress must act now by supporting the bipartisan War Powers Resolution H.Con.Res. 38, introduced by Reps. Ro Khanna and Tom Massie, to stop unauthorized military action and push for real diplomacy before it’s too late.
GOOD NEIGHBOURS... 🇨🇦 🇺🇸
🟥 I have seen so many comments over the past several months, and especially in recent days, from Americans reaching out to express their apologies to Canada, for Trump’s attitude toward us: the harsh rhetoric, threats, and overall treatment...
They emphasize that they do not support or endorse his behaviour, and stress their DEEP respect and affection for Canada.
They want to make it clear that Trump’s actions and words do not reflect the views or values of most Americans.
AMERICAN FRIENDS – we know that the great majority of you feel nothing but goodwill toward us. We’ve always been, and still are, good neighbours. ✅
A shared history runs between us.
▪️ Shared sacrifices.
▪️ Shared traditions.
▪️ An intertwined economy.
▪️ Shared security and defence commitments.
That bond isn’t fragile.
It’s not going anywhere.
It’s UNBREAKABLE.
And when this moment of madness has passed ... and it WILL ... we will come together again, bound by our shared affection and common purpose, as nations and as peoples. 👍🏼
This video from the last Liberal Party campaign, that features the town of Gander, Newfoundland that opened their doors and hearts to thousands of stranded Americans after 9/11, reminds me of our close bond. ⬇️ 🙂
In an era of great power rivalry, Canada is choosing to be principled and pragmatic. To name reality, to act together, and to build what we claim to believe in.
Based on video analysis and reports from NYT, Guardian, and official DHS statements:
1. Officials defend multiple shots as necessary due to perceived ongoing threat from the vehicle; videos show the car turning away slowly.
2. Agents blocked bystanders (incl. a doctor) from aiding but called 911; DHS says focus was on securing the scene.
3. Some agents, incl. shooter, drove off, altering the scene; a voice said "fucking bitch" post-shooting, per footage.
Verdict: Evidence contradicts full self-defense claims, suggesting potential excessive force, but investigation ongoing.
