Thank you for your feedback. While we love and admire the great commercial Igbo people of Nigeria for their contribution to the greatness of Nigeria and Lagos, Eko Atlantic City was, however, not the product of our beloved fellow citizens.

This project was entirely the brainwork and conception of then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Not even the Federal Government was involved.

In fact, the real purpose of the project, which is officially known as Nigeria International Commerce City, was to stop the encroachment of the sea into Victoria Island (Victoria Island should be changed to a Lukumi Yoruba name).

The project was funded by the Lagos State Government and its concessionary partners.

This is not even the first time the Lukumi people have accomplished such a feat. Before colonialism, Nana Olomu of Itsekiri sand-filled an entire creek, reclaiming land from the water, using 100% local ingenuity, and built a new town called Ebrohimi. This town served as the Itsekiri capital during the interregnum until the British fought Nana and destroyed Ebrohimi in 1894.

However, sir, it is possible that you have some previously unknown esoteric knowledge about persons of Igbo heritage, who are the real brains behind the project. If you do have these details, please could you help improve my education by making such information public.
