Fan art is fan love. And nothing stops time for me the way the kindness of @jedifreac does. Her brilliance, craftsmanship, and passion yank me right out of the maelstrom to remind me what matters: representation. I am and will forever be in awe of her.
@Hana_bob_ @fatedforvictory@boundbyliv If anyone has receipts regarding my involvement, please share, as it is news to me. Sounds like you're trying to paint an entire 2000+ community with a singular brush.
@stephysbindery@TimeLordtea @B__Binding @Hana_bob_ Remember when you were bullying someone in the auction discord and I told you to stop and you "silenced me" is that the disrespect? Me defending a small binder? Someone who was scared? Someone who you called out infrount of 30+ people?
@B__Binding @fatedforvictory@TimeLordtea @Hana_bob_ If you cant speak as to the point of the thread it shows you know it was wrong and are trying to redirect the point of discussion. The only point is your group of friends wants to create standards and etiquette without respecting others. Practice what you preach or stay out of it
@B__Binding @fatedforvictory@TimeLordtea @Hana_bob_ Go make money from rebinds, or journals, leave Fandom out of it. If yall can't respect the community and not try to monetize it no one would care but you are monetizing it. Fandom is an anti capitalist movement, if you don't care about that then go and make money elsewhere.
@B__Binding @fatedforvictory@letthemeatbooks @Hana_bob_ Whenever someone mentions that you don't need to pay to learn fanbinding, Patreon sends out a distress call and all the same suspects come running to argue... whatever this is.
Don't get lost in the weeds, people. This isn't about them endangering fandom (that was every other time) this was just about hypocrisy, ethics, and monetizing other people's generosity.
on Renegade and within 10 days of having read my guide, posted it on her Patreon behind a paywall. I was not credited in her video or post, nor was I asked for permission. This is the same person that will send their followers after you if you happen to use the same motif
You don't need to pay to learn this hobby. All the tips and tricks are available out there for free. That's where these people got them from. https://t.co/v5bcALAOtS
If you+associates had to make multiple public statements and/or apologies and have been the reason fanfic artists/writers have had to change their policies twice in the past year, maybe I'm not the problem. Pointing out toxic behavior does not equal being toxic.
@TimeLordtea I used to like and respect Hana but her behavior in all the recent fanbinding drama has left a sour taste in my mouth so unfortunately I’m not surprised by this.
Note the dates. Just like the recent controversy with a Patreon binder that is stealing typesets and passing them off as their own, Patreon in this community has deviated drastically from its purpose and has become a weird parasocial fanclub with admission charge.
I discovered this about a month ago and decided to sit on it for a bit to not act out rashly. Now that it's been enough time I decided to mention it since it is likely that this has happened to others as well. Hana of the Don't-Copy-Me police, took a tutorial that I gave freely
